Donors need to coordinate their aid to ensure that it does not have a Dutch Disease like effect.
ReCom results meeting: Aid for Gender Equality
Copenhagen, Denmark
UNU-WIDER
Time:
Thursday, February 7, 2013 - 08:30 to 17:00
Gender equality and women’s empowerment are central to improved living standards, well-being, and economic growth. This has prompted donors to increase foreign aid resources for gender equality related initiatives. Yet, the actual impact of these interventions has not received much attention by donors, policy makers or academics. Therefore the key question remains: how can the goal of gender equality be achieved and facilitated through foreign aid?
